Taylor Curling Club leagues starting at the end of the month

TAYLOR, B.C. – The Taylor Curling Club will be starting league play at the end of the month, and will also be offering free curling clinics during that time as well.

For curlers looking to learn some new skills or brush up on their existing ones, the curling club will be hosting the free clinics on Tuesday, October 25th and November 1st from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. To register, call Wendy at 250-789-9089.

The Taylor Men’s and Ladies’ leagues will be starting the same week as the free clinic, with the Ladies leagues starting on October 26th, and the men on October 27th. Draws for both leagues are at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The cost for the season, which runs until next March, is $100 for new members, seniors, and youth; and $200 for regular league play.

The curling club has also announced that it will be holding a 2 X 2 Curling League. Each team consists of two adults and two youth, which means that a family of four can take part. The league will play Tuesday nights from Nov. 8 to Dec. 13. from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Each team pays only $100 to register. To register for the 2 X 2 league, call Evelyn at 250-261-4809.
