FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – With news last week of Tourmaline Oil Corp. acquiring Shell assets in the Alberta Deep Basin and the NEBC Montney Complex, the news is good news according to Energy Services BC Executive Director Art Jarvis.
“I think that is a good thing because Tourmaline being a smaller company and very pro community, they certainly serve the local community well. Small business is what grows Canada.”
Jarvis says small Canadian oil companies are a good asset to have. He also said he thought the deal would have went the other way around.
He reiterated that Tourmaline has served a lot of local residents very well.
