DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The B.C. Coroners Service has released the name of the victim in the fatal accident that took place during the early morning of November 13.

The accident happened on the Alaska Highway south of the Kiskatenaw River Bridge near Dawson Creek at around 6:10 a.m.

When police arrived on scene they discovered that a vehicle had lost control, rolled on the highway and the driver was thrown from the vehicle. The driver, who was the single occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Road conditions were icy at the time of the accident.

The victim has been identified as Victory McFarlen, aged 23, of Dawson Creek.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP are continuing to investigate this death.

The family has been notified. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.
