FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Be An Angel Gala raised over $85,000 this past weekend. The foundation has a goal of $250,000 to cover purchase equipment that isn’t covered in the budget.
Executive Director Gord Klassen says the night was a overall success.
“As always, the Gala was an extravagant evening of food and fun, all for a very worthy cause! We are so thankful for the efforts of our volunteers, who gave of their time and talents before, during and after the event. We also appreciate the generous support of our local businesses, organizations, and individuals, who sponsored the event and/or donated items to be auctioned off. And of course, we are grateful to each of our guests who attended and contributed to the Foundation. We are constantly overwhelmed by the generous support of this community.”
The evening also saw a presentation of the Janet Taylor Award, in honour of a woman who was a dedicated volunteer, committed Board Member, and generous donor to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation.
