Boundary Extension Application now in final stages

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John held an Alternative Approval Process (AAP) to provide City electors with a chance to oppose the Boundary Extension.

The AAP was held from September 22nd to October 31st, 2016. Two elector response forms were received. This is less than the required 10% (1,416) that was needed to require the City to hold a referendum.

The following recommendation was passed at the last Council meeting on Monday.

After the resolution was passed, it was submitted to the Ministry on November 15, 2016 so that the Provincial Cabinet could consider the extension application prior to the end of 2016.
