DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – A Dawson Creek man has been arrested for Child Pornography.
Back in August of this year, a detective from the Major Crime Unit in the Abbotsford Police Department received information that a resident in the Abbotsford area was uploading images of what appeared to be child sexual abuse.
An investigation was started and a 41-year-old male suspect was identified.
The suspect then moved from Abbotsford to Dawson Creek. The Abbotsford Police Department Major Crime Unit continued the investigation with the help of Dawson Creek RCMP. They then executed a search warrant at a residence in Dawson Creek on October 25, 2016.
A search of a laptop computer as well as file storage devices produced evidence that was needed to support charges according to the Abbotsford Police Department.
On November 21, 2016, Jason Christopher Reedel was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography.
This isn’t Reedel’s first conviction. He was previously convicted of Possession of Child Pornography in 2014 which came from a Langley RCMP investigation.
