FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Expert Panel Review of Environmental Assessment Process workshops are coming to Fort St. John.
On December 5th from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. public workshops will take place and be in-person dialogues in which all Canadians can take part.
The Minister of Environment and Climate Change has established an Expert Panel to review federal environmental assessment processes.
Those who attend the workshops will receive information about the environmental assessment and the Expert Panel’s review. There will then be a chance to share ideas perspectives through a series of dialogue.
Panel members will listen to the conversations and they will also interact with participants throughout the session. These workshops are being professionally facilitated and designed so that those who attend can express their perspective.
Public presentations to the Panel will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 5th.
Important information to be aware of for the workshops are:
– We encourage participants to review the Public Workshop Guide prior to attending.
-Advanced registration is strongly encouraged. Available spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis with those registering in advance being accommodated first.
-On the day of the event, participants should sign-in at the registration desk 20 minutes prior to the start of the event.
-Registration will close 30 minutes after the start of the event.
-Participants will be able to participate in the official language of their choice.
-Workshops will be 3.5 hours in length.
-There will be a short refreshment break during the event with coffee, tea and water available.
