Free BC Transit rides on November 11 for Remembrance Day

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – There will be free rides on Remembrance Day in Fort St. John courtesy of BC Transit.

BC Transit is offering free service for all customers on Route 1: Northside and Route 2 Southside. HandyDART service will also be offered for free for registered customers from 8 a.m. to noon and 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

BC Transit says it is a small gesture to thank all of those who have served and have made many sacrifices with the Canadian Armed Forces.

BC Transit is also encouraging drivers, when it is safe to do so, to stop their bus at 11:00 am to observe the traditional minute of silence in memory of war veterans and active military members.
