UPDATE #2:  Drivebc.ca now says Highway 97 wil re-open to single lane traffic by 10 p.m. MST.

UPDATE:  Highway 97 remains closed 24km north of the junction with MacKenzie.  The next update on the road will be shared at 10:30 p.m. MST.  Updates will be posted on this site and at www.drivebc.ca

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – DriveBC is reporting that Highway 97 has been closed in both directions 24 km north of the Junction with Highway 39, south of MacKenzie because of a vehicle incident.

There are no estimates when the road will reopen, the next update will be at 6:30 p.m. MST. We will have more updates as they become available.
