RCMP arrest Malcolm Testawits after being caught by citizens

FAIRVIEW – Fairview RCMP have arrested Malcolm Testawits.

According to YL Country, RCMP are saying on November 17, 2016, near a property in Clear Hills County, citizens apprehended him.

A report was received at 9:10 p.m. that an unknown man wearing a ski mask was on a quad, and accompanied by another person in a truck. A nearby property owner said the vehicles were “suspicious”.

RCMP members from Fairview and Peace Regional Detachments, Grande Prairie and Grande Prairie Police Dog Service all reportedly responded to the area to search for the man.

People from the area also attended to help, and apparently located and caught Malcolm Testawits.

Testawits faces numerous charges.

The truck that was spotted was located in a ditch. It had been allegedly reported stolen a few days earlier.

The matters are now before the courts and no other information will be released.
