FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort. St. John Pimms Atom B Flyers and were in Whitecourt last weekend for a tournament.

The Atom Flyers played their first game against Grande Prairie, which they went on to win 6-1. The Flyers also blew out Stony Plain in Game 2 with Evan Baker recording a shutout in the 8-0 victory, before beating Whitecourt’s A2 team 6 to 1.

In the finals they came up against the also-undefeated Josephburg Flyers. With Ryder Hunt in net a strong defensive performance, the team held Josephburg to a mere 11 shots. Carter Ellerington, Carsen Chipesia, Mattie Stevens, and Conrad Hall each contributed a pair of goals in the game. Cache Saccary added an additional tally as the Flyers beat Josephberg 9-1 to bring home the gold.

Both the Fort St. John Atom ‘B’ and Atom ‘A’ teams will be hosting a tournament Dec 10th-11th at the Pomeroy Sports Centre.
