FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – BC Hydro has planned a power outage that will affect customers in the Upper Halfway River area.

The outage will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on December 19.

A total of 166 customers located on Upper Halfway River Road and Halfway-Graham Forest Service Road will be without power in order to complete a new installation providing 3-phase power to an Alta Gas site.

The Peace River Regional District explained that the outage is necessary to safely transfer existing overhead lines approximately 7 metres to a new pole and re-configure the overhead line.
