Extra recreation activities added over Christmas break

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John has added a number of extra sports and recreational activities at their facilities this coming holiday season.

The City’s Recreation Programmer Marissa Jordan says that since many minor hockey teams are taking the holidays off as well, there are a greater number of openings to use the three ice sheets at the Pomeroy Sports Centre. The city has increased the hours and times of public skating, as well as Parent & Child Stick and Puck, Pickleball, and other times to play pick-up hockey.

The North Peace Leisure Pool is also going to be adding a number of swimming activities, including a movie night in the pool on December 16th to kick off Christmas Break.
