Huskies at home for pair of games ahead of Fill the Bus this weekend

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Huskies are back in action this weekend for the final two games of a four game home stand.

The Huskies will be taking on the Fairview Flyers on Friday night, and will host the Beaverlodge Blades on Saturday. Head coach Todd Alexander says that the team’s lineup will be seeing a couple of changes in the next few weeks.

Josh Robinson will be making a return to the bench this weekend after being out with an injury. Thomas Webster will also be making a return after serving a one game suspension. Brandon Howard remains the only veteran out of the lineup due to a suspension after being assessed a Match penalty for slew-footing at the end of last Friday night’s game. Alexander added that the team has also picked up a new player from the Oceanside Generals, the team formerly coached by Trackers head coach David Johnston.

The Huskies hit the ice on Friday and Saturday night at the North Peace Arena. The puck drops at 8:00 both nights.

On Sunday the Huskies will be holding their Fill the Bus campaign at the North Peace Arena. Each year on average the team is able to collect 20,000 lbs. of food for the Salvation Army Food Bank.
