Peace Island Park Bylaw public meeting sees nobody attend

TAYLOR, B.C. – There was the opportunity on Monday evening for the public to give feedback and thoughts on the Peace Island Park Bylaw changes.

The meeting saw no one attend however.

The District is currently looking at areas of the Bylaw that could need changing. Those areas include:

  • Governance of the park
  • Disability camping fees
  • Care and control of animals
  • Reservations, fees and charges
  • Special use permits

While nobody was present at the public meeting, written submissions are still being accepted from the public until December 13, 2016.

You can also view a copy of the proposed Peace Island Park Bylaw from December 1, 2016 to December 13, 2016. The Bylaw is available for review at the District Office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

You can view the Bylaw here: https://taylor.civicweb.net/filepro/documents/1854.
