DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – School District 59 has cancelled all school buses serving schools in the South Peace this morning.

SD 59  Transportation Manager Keith Trail says that District officials decided to cancel all school buses due to the cold temperatures. Trail says that the cancellations are due to the District’s policy of not running school buses at or below -35 degrees. He explained that the policy is a precautionary measure, as there’s no guarantee that the school buses won’t have problems below those temperatures, and that the District doesn’t want to risk having students stranded in the cold.
