FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Friday afternoon’s game was a special one for the Northeast BC/Yukon Trackers, and not only because they got to play in front of their fellow classmates.
The Trackers held a fundraiser for the Salvation Army food bank at the game. Admission to the matinee match was simply a non-perishable food item. With over 1,000 students from Fort St. John-area schools in attendance, and with other members of the public, the Trackers managed to collect enough food to fill the back of the Salvation Army’s pickup truck to the ceiling of the canopy.
