Two arrested after search warrant executed in Peace River

PEACE RIVER, A.B. – A man and woman are in custody facing a number of charges after police raided a home in Peace River earlier this week.

On Tuesday December 13th, officers from the Peace Regional RCMP executed a search warrant in the area of 103 Street and 108 Avenue in Peace River.

During the search of the home, police seized a loaded shotgun that had the serial number tampered with, less then 1 gram of Methamphetamine, 1.1 grams of cocaine, and 1 gram of marijuana. Twelve outstanding arrest warrants were executed in relation to the investigation.

33 year-old Peace River resident Rebecca Lund has been charged with three counts of Possession of a controlled substance, and one count each of:

  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Altering a serial number on a firearm
  • Possession of a dangerous weapon

Lund remains in custody and will appear in a Peace River courtroom on Monday, December 19th. A 34 year-old man was also arrested with charges are pending. His name has not been released, but police say that more details will be provided once his charges are sworn.
