BREAKING NEWS: Non-confidence motion passes, Christy Clark and the BC Liberals defeated

VICTORIA, B.C. – After a long period of waiting, it is now somewhat clearer.

The non-confidence motion that was tabled by BC NDP Leader John Horgan, and seconded by BC Green member Sonia Furstenau, has passed by a vote of 44 to 42.

We now wait as Premier Christy Clark will travel to Government House to meet with Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon to notify her of the defeat.

Then, Guichon will have the decision of either allowing BC NDP Leader John Horgan to be Premier and form government with the BC Green minority deal that was reached, or she could call a snap election which would send British Columbians back to the polls.

More to come.
