100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. РWith the Gustafsen wildfire still burning out of control, an Evacuation Order has been issued for the District of 100 Mile House.

Mayor Mitch Campsall said that due to the pace the fire is moving, it is threatening residences and businesses.

All businesses and residences within 100 Mile House municipal boundaries have been told to leave.

Residents are being asked to go to Prince George by taking Highway 24 East, Highway 5 North and then Highway 16 to Prince George. The College of New Caledonia is where the Emergency Centre has been set up.

There are currently the following resources trying to battle the blaze, which is still 0% contained:

  • 107 firefighters
    14 helicopters
    30 pieces of heavy equipment
