UPDATED: Fencing material donations being accepted for wildfire evacuees

UPDATE: Donations are no longer being accepted.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Donations are currently being accepted in partnership with the BC Cattlemen Association for fencing materials.

Thomas Stahl says any help with posts, staples, wire, portable fencing will be greatly appreciated.

“I used to be in the fencing business. I threw in a bunch of fence posts and guys have been donating staples, wire and treated posts.”

He says that they have truckers who have volunteered their time to drive the materials down south to those that need them.

“We’re helping the farmers that are losing big time right now. If guys want to drop off water trofts or water tanks for watering livestock and feed, it’s all heading to the Southern District.”

Stahl is organizing the items at their shop and sending them out. Items can be dropped off at 14414 Stoddart Creek Road.
