FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Fort St. John cyclists Dan and Sam Webster are ready to hit the road tomorrow for the 2nd Annual Tour of the Peace charity bike ride.

The father and son duo, along with 17 other riders, including Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies MP Bob Zimmer, will be riding 150 kilometres from Peace Island Park to Dinosaur Lake. The ride begins in Taylor 8:00 a.m., ending at 4:30 p.m.

The group is raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Dan Webster started the ride last year, after his son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2015. Webster says that the group raised over $4400 this year at CanolaFest, and has raised in total just under $10,000. But, he says that amount is still short of their $25,000 goal.
