Flyers in do or die mode in Coy Cup showdown

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Flyers are down to their last leg in their Coy Cup showdown with the Dawson Creek Sr. Canucks.

Game One went to the Sr. Canucks as they disposed of the Flyers at the North Peace Arena with ease on Sunday afternoon in the best of three-game series. The winner advances to provincials in Williams Lake which takes place from March 27th to 31st.

“The team needs to take one game at a time,” said General Manager Lee Hartman. “We need to win in Dawson and get it back here on Sunday.”

Thursday’s clash in Dawson Creek will get underway at 8:30 p.m. If the Flyers win, a third and deciding game will be played at the North Peace Arena on Sunday with puck drop set at 4:00 p.m.
