GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B.  –  A 14 year-old girl in Grande Prairie is facing a charge of animal cruelty after the RCMP received complaints of a video posted on social media showing an animal being abused.

The teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing a charge of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal under section 445.1(1) of the Criminal Code.
