GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB. – Grande Prairie RCMP made an arrest after locating a stolen vehicle last week.

On January 24th, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP received a tip of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 104th St. and 99 Ave. Upon locating and investigating police determined that the vehicle was stolen, but it also contained a number of drugs and a weapon.

Thirty-five-year-old Cameron Pike of Grande Prairie was arrested and is facing 12 Criminal Code charges after police seized 85 tablets of Alprazolam, 16 tablets of Risperidone, 0.5 grams of fentanyl, two tablets of fentanyl, 1.4 grams of powdered fentanyl, 0.5 grams of Cocaine, two grams of Methamphetamine and a loaded handgun.

Pike remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on January 29th.
