FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Wrestling Club competed in Grande Prairie over the weekend.

The five junior high wrestlers, four of whom are rookies, finished the event with medals around their necks. Amy McBearty and Aurora Hefner won the silver and bronze respectively in the same weight category, while Kylie Kalas won the gold in her group as she pinned her opponent thirty seconds into the first round.

On the boy’s side of things, Parcen Humphrey placed second after losing a close gold medal match. Caleb Parsonage who had two practices under his belt won the bronze after beating his opponent via a pin.
