FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Charlie Lake Fire Department will be hosting an open house event later this month.

The Peace River Regional District’s Protective Services Manager Deborah Jones-Middleton said the fire hall will be hosting the event, which is open to the public, on February 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. She said the fire department will be showcasing its upcoming fiscal year draft operating budget, which includes several notable items.

Jones-Middleton said the fire department in Charlie Lake is looking to purchase a new fire engine and tender and will be trading in one of its engines. Electoral Area ‘C’ Director Brad Sperling will also be attending the event to take questions from residents about Electoral Area concerns.
