FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – City of Fort St. John crews will be out clearing snow and sanding City roads all weekend.
The City posted to Facebook early Saturday saying two sand trucks will be out on priority one roads and trouble spots. All heavy equipment operators will be working to haul off snow from routes around the City.
Earlier this week, the City posted crews would haul away the windrows of snow from 100 street and 100 avenue on Sunday. While crews are clearing the windrows, expect delays and plan to use alternative routes.
The City also says staff from the grounds department will be working to clear sidewalks and walking paths on Saturday.
Residents can help by keeping parked cars in driveways and by clearing sidewalks. If you see something that needs the City’s attention, you can report it through the City App or call them at 311. You can also use an online form at http://www.fortstjohn.ca/report-a-problem-form
Friday alone the City received 19.8 cm of snow.
