Flyers drop the puck with Athletics in NPHL playoffs

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Senior Flyers are set to start their playoff round-robin schedule tonight in Grande Prairie versus the Athletics.

The team is currently on a three-game winning streak to the conclude the NPHL regular season as they captured the Lawrence Cup with the most points in the league with 26.

The team will be short benched for the tilt versus the Athletics but are excited for playoff hockey. “Should be fun,” said General Manager Lee Hartman. “We will be missing some guys for the first game and hopefully they can return for Saturday’s game at home.”

At the conclusion of the round robin, the first place team will be crowned Western Division Champions and move on to the NPHL final.

Tonight’s clash in Grande Prairie gets underway at 8:30 p.m.
