Flyers welcome Athletics, first place on the line in playoff standings

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Flyers resume playoff round-robin action Tuesday night when they welcome the Grande Prairie Athletics.

The Flyers are coming off two victorious last week, an overtime win over the Athletics and a two-goal nail bitter with the Dawson Creek Senior Canucks, leaving them with a perfect record to start the playoffs.

It’s the second meeting between the two clubs in five days with first place in the standings on the line. “Big game for both teams,” said General Manager Lee Hartman. “Winner takes the lead in the standings. Should be a great game for the Fort St. John crowd.”

Tuesday night’s game versus the Athletics at the North Peace Arena gets underway at 8:30 p.m.
