GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. – The Fort St. John Huskies travelled to Grande Prairie Saturday night to take on the JDA Kings.

The JDA Kings took control of the game early with goals from Ty Lawrence and Tyrone Kipling in the first period.  Jacob Lang was able to score one for the Huskies about halfway through the first.

In the second the JDA Kings were the only ones to score with a goal 42 seconds into the period from Tyrone Kipling.

The JDA Kings continued to dominate in the third with three more goals.  The Huskies picked up goals from Shawn Wilson and Gary Loewen, but it wasn’t enough as the JDA Kings won 6-3.

The Huskies will now play the Fairview Flyers Sunday at 8 p.m. at the North Peace Arena.  The Huskies are sitting in second place in the league, only one point back of the Junior Canucks and Navigators, who each have 49.

With the game Sunday night, the Huskies still have four games left to play in the regular season, while the Navigators have three and the Junior Canucks have two.
