FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Huskies hit the ice for a mid-week battle with the Beaverlodge Blades.

The Huskies are without the services of their starting goaltender Jonathan Bateman who is out for an undisclosed amount of time as he recovers from an upper-body injury sustained at some point last week.

The pups currently hold the second overall spot in the NWJHL standings, one point behind the North Peace Navigators but have a game in hand.

“It will be a good test tonight,” said General Manager Jeremy Clothier. “We need to build momentum heading into our game with Dawson Creek on Friday as that game will probably determine who finishes first overall.”

Wednesday night’s tilt with the Blades gets underway at 8:00 p.m at the North Peace Arena.
