Minor Lacrosse early signup deadline tomorrow

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Early registration for the 2018 Minor Box Lacrosse season closes on Wednesday.

The Fort St. John Minor Lacrosse Association will be hosting free drop-in sessions for kids that want to give the sport a try. Sticks will be provided, though clean shoes and full face helmet won’t.

The drop-in sessions are taking place at Alwin Holland February 28th, March 5th and 12th, and at the Kids Arena Fieldhouse March 20th, 22nd, 27th and 29th. The Tyke/Novice age group will get the 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. slot, while the Peewee/Bantam/Midget clinics run from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

In addition, the Lacrosse league is looking for referees who are 13 years of age and older. Certificate clinics will be offered free of charge with the first one being held on April 7th at the North Peace Secondary School from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A free Fort St. John Grizzles shirt will be given to those who register by February 28th.
