Morrison set for final event at the Olympics this weekend

PYEONGCHANG, SOUTH KOREA – Denny Morrison will be aiming to better his 1,500-metre race finish when he hits the ice with his fellow Canadian speed skaters in the team pursuit event at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games this weekend.

The Fort St. John product placed 13th in the 1,500-metre event on Tuesday morning with a time of 1:46:36, 2.35 seconds off the first-place mark. This is Morrison’s fourth time representing Canada at the Olympics.

The pursuit team of Benjamin Donnelly, Jordan Belchos, Ted-Jan Bloeman, Vincent De Haitre and Morrison will be looking to better there fourth-place finish in the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games.

Sunday’s event is set to begin at 4:00 a.m. (local time) on CBC/Radio Canada.
