FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Pan-African Caribbean Association of Fort St. John will be holding an event this weekend to commemorate Black History Month in the Energetic City.

Association President Panebi Oboh said this year’s event will be taking place at the Stonebridge Hotel on Saturday, February 24th from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. The evening will feature Caribbean and African cuisine, dancing, and a fashion show. Dawson Creek band Earth, Wind and Snow will be bringing the funk to this year’s event, while Calgary-based comedian Kome Eto will help contribute to the light-hearted atmosphere.

The event is open to the public. Tickets range from $20 for kids to $40 for adults and can be picked up at Whole Wheat and Honey, or at the door.
