FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Red Dragon Martial Arts is hosting their annual Board Break Challenge fundraiser this weekend.

Red Dragon students will be breaking a total of 2,000 boards as part of the mandatory requirement for the end of February belt and tip testing.

First, second and third place prizes for the most pledges will be awarded to Red Dragon students as they raised $7,800 from the event last year and are looking to surpass that mark in 2018.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the Community Bridge programs through The Coldest Night of the Year walk which helps the homeless, hungry and hurting in the community.

The event is free to the public. It is asked that a cash or cheque donation is made at the event with all cheques made out to The Community Bridge.

The event takes place on Saturday at the North Peace Secondary School’s gymnasium from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
