FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – School District 60 released an amended version of its 2017/18 annual budget on Monday.
The School District currently has a total of 6,167 students including adult students aged 19 or older, which is an increase of 91 from the projected number.
Operating revenue is forecast to be $915,914 over projections, at a total of $63,044,805 which includes operating grants, transportation funding, carbon tax savings and summer and school fees.
The School District’s expenses meanwhile were below projections by $365,144. Total expenses this year are projected to be $62,168,642, which includes staff salaries, benefits, services and supplies.
The District’s total budget was $75,695,933 comprised of $3,347,708 for the amortization of buildings, $8,754,583 includes the Ministry of Education, Federal SWIS, school generated funds and ITA grants, and $1,425,000 from operational expenditures.
