Snowfall Warning issued for Pine Pass

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Pine Pass today.

Meteorologists say that a frontal system will move into the B.C. Central Interior tonight bringing heavy snow. Snowfall accumulations of between 10 and 15 centimetres are expected before the snow eases early Sunday morning.

Officials are reminding motorists to be prepared to adjust to the changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.

ShiftIntoWinter.ca reminds drivers to know before you go. Adjust to winter driving behaviour and use winter tires and chains. Road conditions are available at www.drivebc.ca.
