U-14 Soccer team goes 0-1-2 in Edmonton


FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Northern Strikers U-14 Boys Soccer team was in Edmonton over the weekend for the FC Memorial Challenge.

The team opened the tournament with a 3-3 tie versus the Edmonton Storm FC as Brock Schroeder scored two goals while Aiden Korfmann added the other.

In Game 2 for the Strikers, they clashed with the Edmonton Extreme FC which ended in a 7-7 tie as the Strikers trailed at half-time by the score of 6-1. Kye Wylie lead the charge with 4 goals, Schroeder scored two and Thomas Larkin added one.

Larkin scored the teams two goals in their final game of the weekend versus the Fort McMurray Fury as they fell by the score of 7-2, to drop their record to 0-1-2 and a fourth-place finish in Pool A.
