TAYLOR, B.C. – The Vertical Slam Ultimate Challenge Society is asking Taylor District Council to forgive user fees to once again host the Vertical Slam event at Peace Island Park.

Society representative Miles Bason asked Council to forgive fees to rent the Peace Island Park quad and pipe sites for the Vertical Slam Ultimate Challenge, in addition to the forgiveness of fees for marquis tents and chair rentals.

“We are asking for the same spaces and items that we asked for last year,” added Bason. “This year’s event is shaping up to be the best one yet.”

The third annual event is scheduled to take place June 9th at the Park and at Big Bam Ski Hill. All proceeds from the event will go towards meal programs at area schools.

The only issues that Council brought forth were that the Spirit of the Peace Powwow will be taking place June 8th to 10th, so they will have to see how many tables and chairs will be available.
