DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Dawson Creek RCMP are looking for a male suspect after an alleged assault Tuesday along the Dawson Trails.

According to Cpl. Madonna Saunderson with North District RCMP, a man was walking along the Dawson trails on Tuesday, February 27th at 3:00 p.m. when he encountered another man walking along the path. Cpl. Saunderson said that a verbal interaction between them escalated in an assault. The victim received an injury consistent with an edged weapon and received medical treatment. His injury is not considered to be life-threatening.

The male suspect is described as standing 6’1″ tall, with a moustache, and a scar near his mouth. At the time of the assault, the suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt with an Adidas logo and a hole in the back, blue jeans, and red, possibly Nike-brand sneakers.
