FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Flyers are set to hit the ice for Game 1 in the NPHL finals versus the Falher Pirates this weekend.

The Flyers are well rested for the series as they haven’t played a game since the middle of February when they claimed the Western Division crown.

“We have had two good practices this week, but it’s hard to be game-ready after two weeks off,” said General Manager Lee Hartman. “I think Game 1 is going to be really tough for us. Falher is coming off a series win and will be ready to go. We will need to be ready and play solid defence. Need a good turn out at the rink to cheer us on.”

Game 1 of the best-of-seven series begins on Saturday at the North Peace Arena. Puck drop is at 8:30 p.m.
