Suspicious man busted with drugs at Fort St. John Walmart

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A 21 year-old man is facing charges after he was arrested at the Walmart in Fort St. John earlier today.

Staff Sgt. Steve Perret with the Fort St John RCMP said that at around 1:00 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a suspicious man entering the local Walmart store. Upon arrival, officers located the suspicious man in one of the store’s changing rooms.


The 21 year-old man, who is well known to police, was arrested without incident and was found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs. It’s not known how much, or what kind of drugs, the man allegedly had.

Perret said that the suspect remains in custody, and police will be recommending charges for drug and weapons-related offences.
