FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northeast B.C./ Yukon Trackers are set for their regular season finale versus the St. Albert Blues on the weekend.

Trackers bench boss Gerard Dicaire says he knows there is a lot riding on the game.

“It’s our last regular season game and we are in a battle for first place. If Peace River loses Friday night to St. Albert, we clinch. If Peace River wins we hold our fate in our own hands. Becomes a must win on Saturday. Either way, we will be looking to continue good habits and play Trackers style of hockey. Fast, relentless, and hard-working hockey.”

This year’s Trackers team has set a record for the most points in a season with 44 since they entered the Northern Alberta Midget Hockey League. The team’s 20 wins is also a club record.

Saturday’s clash with the Blues gets underway at 2:00 p.m. at the North Peace Arena.
