VICTORIA, B.C. – A series of telephone town halls by George Heyman, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, is about the Province’s plan to create a cleaner, stronger and more prosperous B.C.
The telephone town halls provide an opportunity to connect directly with Heyman to ask questions about CleanBC, give feedback and to learn more and comment on how the Province will make things better and more affordable for people while reducing air pollution, protecting the environment and communities.
“Building a cleaner, brighter future for B.C. is something we’re all a part of, and CleanBC is our Province’s plan to help get us there,” said Heyman. “We are committed to listening to British Columbians as we take action on expanding a low-carbon economy to protect our natural environment and the place we call home.”
There are four telephone town halls, each focuses on a specific region of the province. All times are Pacific time, with closed captioning available:
- Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. for the Lower Mainland and southwestern B.C.
- Wednesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. for the Kootenays, the Interior and northern B.C.
