FORT WORTH, TX – Stephen Culling, Steer Wrestler from Fort St. John, had a great finale at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo in Fort Worth, Texas.
On Saturday, February 9, Culling put together three runs in 12.5 seconds to earn over $14,500 and climb to fourth in the World standings.
The 2016 PRCA Rookie of the Year won the second go-round with a 3.3 second run en route to the win.
Culling says this win gives him a good start to the season that takes place for the next seven months.
“That’s a huge hit at this time of the year. I mean, the year’s just kind of getting rolling now and to get a bump like that, right now, just kind of sets the fire for the next seven months.”
Up next, Culling will be in Jackson, Mississippi on February 13 to run his second steer. Then on February 15, in the morning, Culling will be in Buckeye, Arizona and then that night, he will be making the short-round in San Angelo, Texas. Then next week, Culling will be in Tuscon, Arizona.
