Grande Prairie RCMP Investigate Motor Vehicle Collision

GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. – Grande Prairie RCMP, with assistance from Grande Cache RCMP, responded to a vehicle collision involving three vehicles.

RCMP say the incident took place on February 9, at 5:30 p.m., on highway 40 and Archie Way Road, approximately 80 kilometres south of Grande Prairie.

Police say a vac truck collided with a pickup truck and a semi-truck at the intersection.

The RCMP says the driver of the pickup truck, a 64-year-old male from Saskatchewan, was fatally injured.  The driver of the vac truck was transported to hospital with serious, but non-fatal injuries.

The RCMP collision analyst assisted with the investigation.

Occupational Health and Safety are conducting a separate investigation into the incident.
