Griffin Ternier-Smith Selected for Swim Training Camp

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Griffin Ternier-Smith has been long-listed for a selection of athletes to attend a 10-day relay training camp in Vancouver May 17th-27th. The camp will be 7 days and finish with the 3 -day swim meet Mel Zajac, an international swim meet.

The training camp selects young swimmers who are showing Olympic potential. Ternier-Smith is the only male from B.C. selected from the 18 Canada-wide selected males. Selection is based on:

  • On Track Times (“On Track Times” have been developed to better define development pathways for swimmers leading to potential Olympic podium performances)
  • Canadian Rankings
  • Potential value to both the 4×100 and 4×200 Free Relays
  • Overall potential for High Performance in the future
  • Club relay performance history
