Peewee Predators earn silver at Weekend Tournament in Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM, B.C. – The Northeast B.C. Peewee Predators female hockey team were in Salmon Arm this weekend for the Salmon Arm Tournament.

On Friday, February 8, the Predators faced Northwest District for game one of the Tournament. The Predators managed to beat Northwest 5-2. Morgan La Fleur Hamann was voted MVP, and Alex Walchuk earned the Heart & Hustle Award.

On Saturday morning, the Predators faced Lacoka for game two of the Tournament. The Predators managed to win this game 6-2 over Lacoka. MVP was given to Makena Lloyd-Howe with Maya Morgan receiving the Heart & Hustle Award.

Then on Saturday afternoon, the Peewee Predators faced the Bantam Predators for game three of the Tournament. The Peewee Predators swept the Bantams 5-1. Staysha Hiebert received MVP, and Chloe Burgher got the Heart & Hustle Award.

For the final game, on Sunday, the Predators skated away from Salmon Arm as silver medal winners in the Bantam division of the tournament. Alix Walchuk earned MVP, and Rylan Fulton received the Heart & Hustle Award.

Cadence Ayre was named the most sportsmanlike player of the Tournament.
