How our programs will be impacted for the foreseeable future;
1. The Food Bank is distributing pre-made food bags based on family size. No appointments necessary. No drop-in seating or food consumption onsite.
2. Community Meal at The Northern Centre of Hope will be converting to bagged lunches to-go starting Wednesday, March 18.
3. Community Drop-in is closed at The Northern Centre of Hope.
Registered guests of the Emergency Shelter will not be impacted by any change.
Shelter guests have all-day access to the building and all meals remain in place. If you know of someone experiencing homelessness, please direct them to the emergency shelter.
We are just limiting the public from these spaces ensuring the many women and men using the services are as safe as possible.
Effective March 18th, their Thrift Store will be closed to the public for at least 2 weeks. They will still accept donations at the back door. Folks experiencing a crisis will still have access to the store during a Family Services Appointment.
Effective March 19th, we have closed our showroom.

As you are aware, this is a fluid situation and will keep people updated as we are able. We thank everyone for their patience and encourage everyone to stay safe and support each other.
As per direction from government health experts, the Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP) staff will be working from our home offices to help curb the spread of coronavirus in our communities. We will continue to serve you through digital, rather than in-person, channels during this time.

For rent cheques, bank drafts or money orders, please place in an envelope with your address details, and put through our front door slot. *Note – NO cash. If you require a receipt, please request via email. Unfortunately, no debit will be accepted at this time to continue social distancing. Pre-authorized debits are recommended, please email [email protected] to arrange setting this up.

Rest assured that names/property addresses will remain strictly confidential. This helps us determine if a property is safe for showings or maintenance.
